River Café accepts bookings via email bookings@rivercafe.co.za only.
Bookings are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email.
Reservations should be made at least 24 hours prior to your desired dining time.
Our maximum party size is six (6) adult guests, depending on how many other bookings we have.
Guests agree not to attempt to bypass the restrictions by booking a large party across several smaller tables. Should this happen, we will be unable to honour the booking.
Bring your own
Beverages are charged on consumption and there is no BYO.
For wine the corkage is R70 per 750ml bottle and for celebratory cakes the fee is R60 per party of six or R10 per person thereafter.
We do not allow parties in the parking lot - no loud music/noise or drinking or eating from your car.
Table Allocation
Dining takes place either inside the dining room, or on the deck depending on group size. Due to the changing configuration of reservation numbers we are unable to confirm or guarantee your placement within the restaurant, but we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
We respectfully ask that you are ready to be seated at the time of your reservation to ensure the best possible level of service to all of our guests. If you are running late, we kindly ask that you notify us by telephone 076 281 8839 at your earliest convenience.
Reservation Duration
Tables are available for two hours, after which they will be re-booked.
Please contact us if you would like to stay at your table for longer than two hours and, if we have space available, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Cancellation Policy
We require at least two hours notice for every cancellation. We also may request a deposit to guarantee a table on busy days.
